The Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall inside McCray Hall on the campus of Pittsburg State University has a 407 seating capacity. A state-of-the-art facility that hosts a variety of university and community events, both sports and non-sports including 1,000 person banquets, as well as regional and national competitions.
The site has already hosted, and is in the rotation to continue to host, the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championship, the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship, and the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship.
The $13 million, 154,000-square-foot facility, completed in Spring 2015, includes a 100-yard turf field, an 11,000-square-foot modern strength facility, a 300-meter track and seating for up to 1,500. It will also include locker rooms for mens and womens track & field and football, offices and meeting rooms.

William L. Abernathy Science Education Center
The William L. Abernathy Science Education Center is located on the campus of Greenbush located west of Girard. Amenities of the Science Education Center are designed specifically for engaging learners in a way that theyll never forget. By providing learning experiences and labs that use equipment or materials not accessible in schools, district, or communities, they serve approximately 14,000 learners annually. The Science Center is comprised of several educational facilities including the PSU-Greenbush Astrophysical Observatory, a simulated rainforest, greenhouse, wind turbine, paleontology dig, and the Greenbush Digital Theater. Each component is designed to allow hands-on learning experiences for students. The laboratories are designed to focus on bioscience and related research due to the impact it has on Kansas economy.

This historic building dates back to 1880 and provides an atmosphere unlike newer, modern facilities.
Three giant custom built ceiling fans hang below the intricate iron framework holding up the roof.
What were once bricked up windows, have been replaced with 3 levels of glass windows allowing natural light into the area.
The event space doubles as a family entertainment center when not reserved. Repurposed many times over the decades, the building has been used by a printing service, a foundry, and was once used to build rail cars.

Of six depots built by Frisco Freight in Pittsburg, Kansas, only one remains. A depot has been on the 210 East 4th Street site since 1876, and after decades of barely being used, it has been restored and is now the Frisco Event Center. The current building was built in 1902; and, after a fire, the brick portion on the east end was built in 1917. The facility has a capacity of 200 to 220 people with tables.

Crestwood Country Club originally debuted in 1960 as a 9 hole course. The course of today was re-designed and expanded to 18 holes in 1978 by Kansas Golf Hall Of Fame architect, Floyd Farley. The layout features four sets of tees for men and two for ladies or juniors, to meet every golfers skill level. The par 72, 6700 yard course features large bent grass greens and lush zoysia fairways.
The tee is always open and our expected pace of play is under four hours. Tee times are suggested on weekends, although not always required.
The golf course is a wonderful test of golf with large undulating greens. Water comes into play on 11 holes. There are 37 sand traps strategically placed along fairways and beside greens. Native grass impacts play on 10 holes. All these add to golf at its finest in our area.
Improve your game at the complete practice facility featuring large grass tee, artificial tees, realistic targets, short game area, pitching green, sand trap and putting green. Each area is always stocked with an unlimited supply of range balls. Unlimited practice is included with all golf memberships.
