JOB OPENING – Crawford County CVB Executive Director

The Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), based in Pittsburg, Kansas, is seeking a new Executive Director. The previous Executive Director, Devin Gorman, is now the Executive Director for the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas.

The Executive Director for the Crawford County CVB is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to accomplish the objectives of the CVB, principally increasing the number of overnight visitors in the county. This position works with an Advisory Board under the supervision of the Crawford County Commission.

The most populated county in Southeast Kansas, Crawford County is known for its coal mining heritage, fried chicken, a unique to Kansas habitat for outdoor recreation, and Pittsburg State University, the home of the nation’s only collegiate gorilla mascot. With facilities normally found only in larger communities, the region regularly hosts live entertainment, including traveling Broadway plays; and, national sporting events, including indoor track and field championships.
