Pumpkin Patches open for 2018

Three pumpkin patches are now open in Crawford County, Kansas, and each provide something different for visitors.

Hickory Creek Farms

Enjoy 6-acre corn maze, 4 acres of pumpkins, barrel train, Pumpkin Playground, Critter Coral & real live animal races (2p and 4p). Open to the public Saturday’s & Sunday’s from 1p-6p from Sept. 29 to end of October. Also includes a scenic hayride, a corn cannon, and more.

$8 admission (kids under 2 are free).

Ol’ Yale Farms

306 S 250th St, Frontenac

The area’s newest pumpkin patch includes a kid-friendly “playground for giants”, Tire Mountain & zip line. Open to the public on Saturday’s & Sunday’s from 10a-6p from Sept. 29 through Oct. 28. Plus, on October 16, there will be a face painter and balloon artist; on Oct. 13 a chainsaw artist will show off his skills; and, Oct. 27 will be Touch-a-Truck Day.

Children 2 and under are free. Children over 3 and adults are $11. Senior citizens 65 and older are $6. Additional attractions not included in general admission: Barrel Train ($2 each), Jump Pillow ($2), and Gold Panning ($5). Cash and credit card only. Sorry, no checks.

Wood Farms

Voted the official People’s Choice Awards Best of the Best for Seasonal Attractions. Open to the pubic on Saturday’s & Sunday’s from 12p-6p from Oct. 6 through Oct. 28. Wood Farms sits on 78 acres and blends farm and fun. Enjoy the hay maze, corn maze, hay ride, giant pumpkin bounce pad, combine slides/play set, and several inflatables.

Admission fee $5.00. Toddlers 2 and under free. Cash or check accepted.
